This hybrid opportunity in Redmond, WA places you at the center of engineering and production efforts supporting one of the gaming industry's most iconic strategy franchises. You'll partner with technical leads, engineers, and globally distributed development teams to drive technical feature delivery, sprint planning, project execution, and production excellence using Unreal Engine, Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies. Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  1. Technical Game Production Experience4+ years of experience as a Technical Producer or Technical Project Manager supporting engineering teams within the gaming industry, including ownership of game development through release.
  2. Game Development Tools & Agile Delivery – Strong proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, sprint planning, backlog management, project tracking, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Join the production team supporting the legendary Age of Empires franchise at World's Edge Studio. In this role, you'll work alongside engineering leadership and development teams to improve planning, execution, communication, and delivery across multiple technical initiatives. You'll help establish efficient production processes, coordinate work across internal and external partners, and play a key role in ensuring high-quality game development remains predictable, organized, and on schedule.

How you will make an impact:

  • Partner with engineering and production leadership to coordinate technical feature development and ongoing engineering initiatives.
  • Plan, scope, prioritize, and schedule development work alongside technical leads and project stakeholders.
  • Manage sprint planning, backlog organization, and team velocity using Azure DevOps and Agile practices.
  • Track project health, risks, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple technical projects.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, dashboards, status reports, and communication for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate work across internal developers, external studios, and vendor partners.
  • Champion consistent production processes, documentation standards, and workflow improvements.
  • Support engineering teams by identifying project risks and helping develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure project management systems accurately reflect current project status and priorities.
  • Foster collaboration across globally distributed teams working in multiple time zones.

The expertise you bring:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Producer or Technical Producer within the video game industry.
  • Technical Producer or Technical Project Manager credit on at least three shipped PC or console game titles.
  • Experience supporting engineering teams developing games with Unreal Engine.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering production workflows.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven experience creating project plans, estimating work, developing roadmaps, and maintaining status reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across multiple audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional disciplines including engineering, production, publishing, and external partners.
  • Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
