Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and version control systems (e.g., Git), as well as an understanding of APIs and database management, are typically required. Their responsibilities include designing intuitive interfaces, ensuring responsive design, writing code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior designers and developers.
