About the Role
A fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed fintech startup is looking for an entry-level
Full Stack Engineer to join its small, high-impact engineering team in New York City. The company builds a personal wealth management platform aimed at making investing accessible and approachable for the next generation of retail investors. You'll work directly on core product features - including AI-powered tooling, portfolio management, and educational investing experiences - from day one.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain full stack features across web and/or mobile surfaces of a consumer fintech platform
- Collaborate closely with a small, cross-functional team to ship product improvements quickly and iteratively
- Contribute to the development of AI-assisted features, automated investing workflows, and user-facing financial tools
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code across both frontend and backend layers
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning
- Help uphold high standards for security, performance, and reliability in a regulated financial environment
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Entry-level candidates welcome - no prior professional experience required; strong portfolio, projects, or academic background will be considered
- Solid understanding of full stack web development fundamentals (frontend frameworks, backend APIs, databases)
- Ability to work on-site in New York, NY
- Eligible to work in the US - visa sponsorship is available
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with fintech, investing, or financial products
- Experience working with AI/ML integrations or LLM-based features
- Exposure to mobile development (iOS/Android or React Native)
- Interest in consumer apps targeting younger demographics
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $170,000 - $220,000 USD annually
- Visa sponsorship available
