CJC Transport is seeking an experienced Senior Freight Dispatcher to join our operations team in St. Louis, Missouri.

What You'll Do
  • Dispatch and coordinate drivers to maximize productivity and on-time performance. 
  • Monitor active shipments and proactively resolve service issues. 
  • Communicate with drivers regarding routes, customer requirements, delays, and schedule changes. 
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, Hours of Service (HOS), and company policies. 
  • Build efficient driver schedules while optimizing equipment utilization. 
  • Coordinate load assignments with customers, brokers, and internal departments. 
  • Monitor GPS and fleet tracking systems to ensure timely deliveries. 
  • Address unexpected operational challenges and develop effective solutions. 
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records and transportation documentation. 
  • Provide exceptional customer service through proactive communication and issue resolution. 
  • Mentor and support dispatch team members as needed. 
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. 
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of freight dispatching or transportation operations experience 
  • Strong understanding of trucking and logistics operations 
  • Experience dispatching CDL-A drivers 
  • Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities 
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), Microsoft Office, and dispatch software 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience dispatching regional and over-the-road freight 
  • Leadership or supervisory experience 
  • Experience working with owner-operators and company drivers 
  • Knowledge of freight brokerage and customer logistics 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
