Job Overview:

At Fusion, we are looking for an experienced Freight Dispatcher to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of freight brokerage and operations, knowledge in vetting and booking carriers. This position is in-person, Monday to Friday.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform freight services according to company and government regulations.
  • Create, coordinate, and manage pick-up and delivery schedules, coordinating with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and customers.
  • Monitor all routes and schedule backhauls with same trucks to utilize max. cost of the daily route.
  • Track and report shipment status of loads.
  • Properly vet carriers to securely broker freight.
  • Coordinate logistics for projects coming from multiple customer sites and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with multiple carriers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activity, ensuring freight paperwork is complete and approved prior to transportation.
  • Resolve freight discrepancies and keep relevant parties apprised.
  • Respond to customer concerns and queries in a timely, professional manner.

Must-have Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a freight and transportation logistics and operations-oriented position (brokerage, dispatch, etc.) assigning loads and booking trucks on load boards
  • Experience with using Mercury Gate, DAT, Carrier411 or any other TMS system
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
