Description

Quicksilver Express Courier is an on-demand delivery company looking to hire a full time Freight Dispatcher Coordinator. 

If you are detail oriented and able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment, then this is the position for you!

MUST be reliable!

MUST work well with others!

This is not an entry-level or customer support position. You will be responsible for managing a fleet, adjusting routes in real time, and ensuring all deliveries are completed efficiently and on schedule.

  • Dispatch and coordinate daily routes for a local fleet
  • Build efficient routes and adjust based on real-time conditions
  • Manage multiple drivers handling time-sensitive deliveries
  • Monitor delivery progress and resolve issues quickly
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff on freight movement and dock schedules
  • Prioritize urgent shipments and maintain service levels
  • Track shipments and maintain accurate system updates
  • Ensure driver productivity and route efficiency
  • Coach new drivers as part of their on-the-job training, providing additional instruction and guidance.

Requirements (Must Have):

  • Previous freight dispatch or logistics coordination experience
  • Experience managing multiple drivers/routes simultaneously
  • Ability to think quickly and make decisions under pressure
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Clear communication with drivers and operations teams
  • Familiarity with the Phoenix metro area
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred:

  • Experience freight dispatching local delivery or courier drivers
  • Background in time-sensitive or same-day logistics

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Strong knowledge of the metro and surrounding areas
  • Background experience in a dispatch environment with problem resolution skills
  • Exhibit a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Ability to Multi-task
  • Must be reliable and punctual - maintain excellent attendance
  • Basic computer skills -- will use windows-based software
  • Basic to advanced typing skills - Minimum 34 words per minute
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment

PREVIOUS DISPATCH EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
