Freight Dispatcher
Lincoln, Nebraska, USA
LOCATION: Lincoln, NE
DEPARTMENT: Need a Hauler Department
HOURS: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(Flexible- some evening and weekend hours required)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field preferred but not required
• Experience and/or knowledge in the Transportation or Logistics industries or ability to learn
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage fast-paced, high-pressure challenges
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to learn Sandhills systems and processes
• Ability to follow all applicable laws and regulations in the industry
• Excellent proactive problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor

DESCRIPTION:
The Freight Dispatcher will be responsible for many aspects of the logistics operations at Sandhills Global. They will be the main source of carrier vetting and verification. They also will be the individual to onboard all new carriers. There will be frequent communication with carriers dispatchers and drivers to ensure a smooth delivery process. Freight Dispatchers will verify critical shipping paperwork including Bills of Lading, Rate Confirmation, Proof of Delivery, and driver logs. This role requires a high attention to detail as ensuring all proper documentation of the freight loads is completed and received. They will need to ensure strict adherence to the Department of Transportation and FMCSA regulations. The Freight Dispatcher will verify the load pick up and delivery along with this. Assume other duties as assigned.
