Job Description:

Asset Consulting Group (ACG) is seeking a Senior Financial and Operations Analyst to join our St. Louis office. This individual will serve as a versatile, cross-functional resource responsible for financial analysis, operational performance measurement, compliance support, technology cost management, and other operational duties. The ideal candidate is an experienced self-starter with deep analytical expertise who thrives in a highly autonomous, fast-paced environment. This individual must be comfortable navigating ambiguity-balancing competing timelines and stakeholder agendas while maintaining composure and delivering high-quality work.

This role demands a detail-oriented problem solver who can seamlessly transition between financial modeling, KPI development, regulatory review, and IT budget analysis, as well as execute high-impact deliverables. The individual will act as a primary analytical contact for ACG leadership, providing insights that drive strategic and operational decisions across the firm.

This position is located in the St. Louis office and will report onsite.

Essential Job Functions

Financial Analysis

  • Prepare management/organizational plans and annual financial operating plans.
  • Review financial statements, budget variance reports, and income statements for senior management.
  • Support the overall budgeting process including Plan, Mid-year Forecast, and Full-year Projection cycles.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes end-to-end.

Non-Financial KPI Analysis

  • Work with the Performance team to design, develop, and maintain non-financial KPIs.
  • Monitor and report on productivity metrics including staff utilization, OT, and temporary employees.
  • Collaborate with department heads to establish meaningful benchmarks and performance targets.
  • Support the creation and execution of employee development programs through performance analytics.

IT Cost & Data Analysis

  • Analyze technology expenditures and vendor costs to identify savings opportunities.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CTO on special projects and ad hoc initiatives.
  • Assist data team with database management including input, export, and verification of data integrity.
  • Evaluate IT systems and tools for cost-effectiveness and operational fit.

Compliance, Rules & Regulatory Review

  • Support compliance team with regulatory research, documentation, and process review.
  • Assist in annual compliance reporting, ADV preparation/distribution and training.
  • Assist Deputy Chief Compliance Officer with annual regulatory filing requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field, or CFA designation is preferred.
  • Expertise with market data providers and portfolio systems (Bloomberg, FactSet, Investor Force, Advent ACD).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including macros, VBA, and complex financial modeling.
  • Experience building or extensively querying database systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing investment advisers and fiduciary standards.
  • Track record of developing KPI frameworks and performance measurement systems.
  • Experience with IT budgeting, vendor management, or technology cost analysis.
Basic Qualifications
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial analysis, investment operations, or a related analytical discipline; and
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within financial services and/or wealth management is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial statement analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations.
