Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a senior individual contributor within the Financial Planning & Analysis team responsible for leading complex financial analysis, enterprise forecasting, strategic planning, and investment evaluation across Gardner Capitalโ€™s portfolio. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by delivering sophisticated financial models, actionable business insights, and strategic recommendations that support capital allocation, portfolio optimization, and long-term growth initiatives. The Senior Financial Analyst leads high-impact analytical projects, mentorsjunior analysts, and collaborates across departments to improve financial performance, strengthen reporting capabilities, and drive data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead development of financial models supporting investments, capital allocation, and portfolio management.
  • Own company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Evaluate acquisitions, refinancing opportunities, capital projects, and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze portfolio performance andidentifyfinancial risks and opportunities.
  • Present financial analyses and recommendations directly to executive leadership.
  • Review loan agreements, partnership agreements, and financing structures for financial implications.
  • Design dashboards and reporting tools to improve executive decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional finance initiatives involving Accounting, Asset Management, Development, Treasury, and Operations.
  • Mentor and review work performed by junior analysts.
  • Recommend improvements to financial processes, reporting standards, and analytical methodologies.
  • Support Board, lender, investor, and audit reporting requirements.
  • Lead special projects involving strategic planning, capital markets, and business growth initiatives.

MinimumQualifications:

  • Expertproficiencyin Microsoft Excel, financialmodelingand Power BI
PreferredQualifications:
  • MBA/CPA/CFA Preferred
  • Experience in affordable housing, renewable energy, real estate, private equity, or structured finance
  • SQL,VBAor similar analytical tools
  • Experience presenting financial recommendations to executive leadership
