world-leading news and commentary digital strategy. As one of the top 10 most viewed
English-language news channels in the world on YouTube, this new role is a unique
opportunity to join an established news brand with global reach which also has the

As Executive Producer at News24, you are the senior editorial and production lead
responsible for the direction, quality, and daily delivery of content across News24s
digital platforms for content created in the United States of America.
You provide decisive leadership across editorial and production teams, bringing strong
news judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex productions at
pace. You are accountable for the overall performance of the programs under your
remit across News24s digital platforms, including growth in subscriptions and views,
delivery within budget, and the development of a high-performing, motivated team.
Reports to: Digital Editor, News24.com.au
Editorial Direction & Program Leadership
• Set and drive the daily and long-term editorial direction for the programs under your
remit, ensuring content is original, authoritative, and aligned with News24's editorial
and audience objectives.
• Lead the development and evolution of program formats, ensuring they are
engaging, competitive, and editorially strong.
• Partner closely with the host on program content and direction, contributing ideas
and shaping the editorial agenda, while retaining final editorial authority on all
content decisions.
• Make the final call on story selection, angle, framing, and prioritization across the
programs you oversee, ensuring all editorial decisions reflect News24s strategy.
• Provide final editorial approval on scripts, segments, and all content ensuring
output meets News24s editorial standards.
• Manage the working relationship with the host constructively and professionally,
providing clear editorial direction and addressing any editorial disagreements
decisively.
• Escalate editorial risks, legally sensitive content, or standards concerns to senior
leadership immediately and without delay.
Guest and Contributor Management
• Vet every guest and contributor before appearance or publication, confirming
credibility, background, and any potential editorial or reputational risks.

• Conduct thorough social media checks on all guests and contributors prior to their
first appearance, and re-check recurring guests routinely to ensure no new
adverse, offensive, or reputationally risky content has emerged.
• Ensure all guests and contributors are clearly briefed on the purpose of their
contribution, editorial context, and the standards of conduct expected across
News24s digital platforms.
• Intervene immediately if a guest or contributor behaves in a way that breaches
editorial or professional standards.
Editorial Oversight & Integrity
• Take final responsibility for editorial sign-off across all digital and streaming content,
nothing goes live without EP or delegated editorial approval.
• Ensure accuracy across all digital content in line with applicable content codes and
regulations and the Editorial Code of Conduct.
• Safeguard all content against defamation, discrimination and misleading
information.
• Ensure all legal changes are made and reflected in the content schedule and
communicated clearly to the host and production team before publication.
• Apply sound editorial judgment under pressure, prioritizing accuracy, credibility, and
integrity over speed.
• Ensure all scripts, captions, on-screen text, tags, and digital copy are accurate,
correctly spelled, fact-checked, and uphold professional journalistic standards.
• Ensure all images, photographs, graphics, maps, and video assets used across
digital platforms are accurate, legally cleared, appropriately labelled, and editorially
relevant.
• Guard against plagiarism and ensure all editorial content, including scripts,
graphics, captions, digital copy, and social posts, is original or appropriately
attributed, with proper credit given for all external sources.
• Correct factual errors, misstatements, or misidentifications swiftly and transparently
across all published digital content.
• Escalate editorial risks immediately to senior leadership.
Production Leadership & Delivery
• Oversee the daily production and delivery of all programs under your remit,
ensuring output is published on time, on brief, and to the highest editorial and
production standards.
• Manage and oversee production budgets for your programs, ensuring content is
delivered within agreed financial parameters and resources are allocated
effectively.
• Lead production planning across daily, weekly, and long-term content schedules,
ensuring the team is well-prepared and resourced for planned coverage and
breaking news events.
• Respond swiftly to breaking news events, providing clear and decisive editorial
direction to the production team during fast-moving and high-stakes situations.
• Maintain clear production workflows and processes that support consistent, high-
quality content delivery.
• Ensure quality control across all planning and delivery processes.
Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop production and editorial staff across your programs,
providing clear direction, feedback, and guidance that elevates the quality and
impact of their work.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture that supports
staff retention and strong team morale.
• Manage staffing requirements including rostering, performance, and resource
planning to ensure the production team is appropriately structured and supported.
• Resolve team conflicts promptly and constructively, maintaining a professional and
respectful working environment at all times.
Platform Performance, Growth & Collaboration
• Align the editorial output of your programs with platform KPIs including audience
growth, subscription targets, views, and engagement metrics.
• Monitor program performance data regularly, using insights to inform editorial
decisions, content formats, and production priorities.
• Identify opportunities to innovate and evolve the programs under your remit,
bringing forward ideas that drive audience engagement and platform growth.
• Work closely with senior editorial leadership to ensure programs align with the
broader News24 digital content agenda.
• Contribute to editorial planning meetings, bringing program-level insight and
production expertise to inform News24s overall content direction.
