About KWTX:

KWTX-TV News 10 is the dominant television station on all platforms for the Waco-Temple-Killeen market in the Heart of Central Texas. Job Summary/Description:

Seeking a producing career that provides opportunities to create content for both on-air and digital platforms? KWTX, the dominant CBS station in Central Texas, on all platforms, is seeking a producer who displays creativity and consistency in producing newscasts and digital programming. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced producers to see your expertise and creative ideas come to life on traditional and not-so-traditional programming platforms. The ideal candidate will have a desire to produce both on-air and digital content for our live streaming platform, KWTXtra.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

- Co-produce and booth newscasts as needed
- Co-produce and booth 4 pm show
- Schedule and book guest appearances
- Create social media and website posts
- Record and edit segments for broadcast
- Create original graphics and visual elements for on-air and digital platforms
- Produce live streaming and recorded content for KWTXtra
- Operate OTT and CTV equipment in the KWTXtra studio
- Serve as a host/anchor for CTV/OTT programming on KWTXtra

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Some previous news experience
- Strong news judgment
- Planning skills that have you always seeking the next big topic
- Creative thinker with a desire to present information in new formats with engaging visuals
- Excellent writing, shooting, editing, and producing skills
- Ability to multitask and be calm and decisive under pressure
- Degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Experience with Edius, ENPS, and Canva desired
