Job description

Seeking to grow a production team with a lead Executive Producer to createLSS Universal original content for TV and streaming services. Business Line: TV Production Production Type: Films & Show Series Position: Freelance Project Hire: Production Specific

The Executive Producer (EP) isresponsible for the overall quality control of productions. They are part of the team who are responsible for developingmarketable projects. The EP willlead the production of a range of television programs to be pitched to networks, festivals and'or streamed on LSS Universal platform. Films and series typeinclude (but not limited to) dramas, serial dramas, documentaries and drama documentaries and reality.The role of the Executive Producer is to oversee the work of the producer on behalf of the studio, the financiers or the distributors. They will ensure the film is completed on time, within budget, and to agreed artistic and technical standards.

DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Executive Producer must be able to:

  • C ombined with other roles, supporting the raise in capital tofinance projects, while managing the budget throughout the production.
  • Beinvolved in working with Producers to ensure the direction of the project is within scope and timeline forscripting, casting, and crewing.
  • Harness best-in-class production resources to push boundaries and enhance LSS Universal's creative products
  • Have a keen business sense, and an intimate knowledge of all aspects of film production, financing, marketing and distribution. This includes:

Developing a budget for the film

Ensuringthat the film stays within budget

Working within union regulations

Hiringthe appropriate staff for the film

Coordinating with Head of Marketing & Communications to developrelease strategy for the project

Work with cross-functional teams to develop and create a final product

Maintain the brand image of the film and LSS Universal

Create a long term strategy for the distribution of the production

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Film, Television or related field preferable

Strong leadership and decision-making skills

Experience in film, television, radio or journalism
