Job Description Summary:
  • Contacts customers and prospects within a defined geographic territory or on an account basis to sell FedEx international services.
  • Focuses on personal sales targets by developing new business opportunities, troubleshooting customer problems and enhancing existing customer relationships.
  • May have special markets or complex product lines that require significant customer relationship skills.
Essential Functions:
  • Contacts customers and prospects within a defined geographic territory or on an account basis to sell FedEx international export and import air, ground and freight services.
  • Focuses on personal sales targets by leveraging face-to-face customer interaction to find opportunities, submit pricing, onboard business and grow and maintain customer relationships.
  • Accounts may have complex customer supply chain needs that require research within various FedEx systems to achieve resolution.
  • Engage with customers on self-service resources and provide customer resolution as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow a defined geographic territory by developing new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on FedEx international shipping solutions, helping customers optimize their import and export transportation needs.
  • Develop strategic territory plans to identify revenue opportunities, prioritize customer engagement activities, and achieve sales objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Domestic Sales, Account Management, Operations, and other internal teams to deliver seamless customer solutions and drive business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consultative selling, proactive account management, and regular face-to-face engagement.
  • Analyze customer shipping profiles and business needs to recommend tailored international transportation solutions that support customer growth objectives.
  • Take ownership of a revenue-producing territory, balancing customer retention, account development, and new business acquisition activities.
  • Leverage strong problem-solving skills and internal partnerships to address customer challenges and enhance the overall customer experience.

Domicile Information:

This is a customer-facing role that requires regular in person meetings. Candidates must live within a 50 mile radius of Carlsbad, CA or surrounding cities within the territory.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Pay:

Pay Grade SP4; Monthly range: $5,400 to $13,175

Actual pay is determined by several job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, including, but not limited to, experience relative to the job, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. In California, the compensation listed reflects the range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position upon hire. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
