This Position reports to:

Operations Manager

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will serve as a design authority for engineering projects within the Process Industries - Power Conversion sector. You will contribute to the successful delivery of moderate to large-scale projects by ensuring technical excellence, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity standards.


The work model for the role is hybrid.
Your Role: Own the Challenge

  • Lead the design and engineering of High-Power Rectifier systems, this covers concept of control, electrical schematics, PLC programming, etc.
  • Support sales and tendering teams with technical expertise during the bidding process.
  • Ensure all engineering activities follow internal guidelines and processes for successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure proper assembly, staging, and installation of equipment.
  • Participate in shop testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of high-power rectifier designs.
  • Provide remote and onsite support to customers for rectifier systems.
  • Travel occasionally to Customer site to complete electrical testing and commissioning activities.
  • Seek and incorporate customer feedback to improve solutions and service quality.

What it takes to run what runs the world

  • 5-8 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field, with hands-on exposure to the manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, electrical and control schematics, and PLC programming.
  • Member of Order of Engineers of Quebec or in process of enrollment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with customers in both remote and onsite settings.
  • French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
  • Willingness to travel within US and Canada for site activities (10-15% of the time).
