Hiring: Senior EHS Engineer

Libertyville

Direct Hire | Full Time

$110K–$130K + 10% Annual Bonus


We are seeking a hands-on Senior EHS Engineer to support the launch of a brand-new medical device manufacturing facility. This person will serve as the site EHS lead, helping build safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and establish a strong safety culture from the ground up.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental, health & safety programs and OSHA compliance
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and facilities teams on machine and facility safety
  • Conduct plant inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Support machine guarding, PPE programs, and emergency preparedness
  • Lead safety training and employee awareness initiatives
  • Manage audits, OSHA logs, workers’ compensation, and corrective actions
  • Build scalable EHS systems for a growing operation


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Engineering, or related field
  • Manufacturing EHS experience required
  • Strong OSHA and industrial safety knowledge
  • Startup/greenfield experience preferred
  • Medical device, pharma, or cleanroom manufacturing experience is a plus
