EDI Coordinator

Job description

Department: Data & Technical Services
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Reports To: Director, EDI
Job Summary
The EDI Coordinator is the entry point into the EDI job family at Selerix. This role provides the coordination and execution backbone that keeps the EDI team's work moving-supporting file testing, preparing files for production, monitoring transmissions and tickets, resolving routine connection failures, and maintaining documentation-so that EDI Analysts stay focused on file design and build.
This is a learning role. The EDI Coordinator is not yet independently building EDI files-that comes with the Analyst level-but they are developing the foundational knowledge, habits, and relationships that make a great EDI professional. The role is the first step in a well-defined career path toward the EDI Analyst, Senior EDI Analyst, and Lead EDI Analyst levels.
This task work sits directly on the path between a completed file build and a file that actually delivers in production. That connectivity has real value-and real accountability. When tasks slip, client relationships and delivery commitments pay the price.
Key Responsibilities
Transmission & Ticket Monitoring
  • Monitor EDI file transmissions daily against expected schedules; identify delays, failures, or missing acknowledgments
  • Check the ticketing system on a defined cadence for reported file failures; work routine items-including connection failures such as fingerprint or credential resets-and escalate anything outside the defined playbook
  • Escalate errors to the assigned EDI Analyst with sufficient context-file name, client, error type, timing, and any relevant history
  • Maintain a log of open transmission issues; track status and resolution with no gaps in documentation
  • Learn to interpret transmission reports and acknowledgment codes as part of the development pathway toward independent troubleshooting

File Testing & Production Readiness
  • Support file testing on assigned tasks under the direction of an EDI Analyst-sending test files, tracking responses, and testing existing files that require no new build
  • Complete production approval and scheduling steps on assigned files; confirm the initial production run delivers as expected and document the outcome
  • Sign off completed task work and hand it to the assigned analyst for final review; surface anything unexpected before sign-off, not after

Documentation & File Maintenance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of EDI file specifications, delivery preferences, and client-specific requirements for assigned tasks
  • Update documentation promptly when specs change; documentation should be current enough that another team member could step in without losing context
  • Keep the file setup tracker current for assigned tasks through the implementation and go-live process

Process Support & Learning
  • Support EDI Analysts with defined tasks during busy periods-this is not cleanup work; it is how skills are built
  • Ask questions that go beyond task completion; understand why the process works the way it does, not just how to execute it
  • Actively pursue EDI fundamentals through assigned learning, job shadowing, and direct practice
  • Participate in team discussions, ask clarifying questions, and use every escalation as a learning opportunity

Cross-Team Coordination
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with CSMs and Case Build when information is needed; do not let coordination gaps sit
  • Flag requirements that arrive incomplete or after the point when clean setup is still possible-the sooner the issue is raised, the less it costs
  • Work with Shared Services and internal IT on credential and access resets that require another team; follow through until the connection is confirmed working

Must be eligible for US employment
We offer the following benefits:
  • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance
  • 4 weeks paid time off (PTO)
  • 9 paid holidays
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • 401K (with match)
  • Basic Life
  • Long-Term Disability
