Mesa seeks a Senior Substation Physical Designer with 8+ years of design related experience.
Ideal candidate has over 8 years of experience designing physical equipment/systems associated with high/medium/low voltage electrical substations. Candidates with related power or process plant physical design experience will also be considered for this position. Candidates must possess knowledge and skillsets associated with designing drawings that depict electrical switchgear, transformers, electrical bus work (rigid/flexible), conduit/raceway, grounding, lightning/static protection, etc. Candidates must possess thorough experience in understanding and generating physical design drawings such as One Lines, Electrical Arrangements, Conduit/Grounding layouts/detail, Equipment Plans/Elevations and Bills of Material using AutoCAD and/or Microstation design software packages. Ideal candidates will possess a learning mindset, be self-starters, mentors and leaders. This position will be hybrid in our Knoxville office
Work will require occasional overnight trips to sites located in Arkansas, Southeast Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
