The Global Network Delivery Team (GND) is responsible for structured cabling, hardware deployment, and hardware commissioning related to network deployment during the initial phase of a data center. A Build Manager is responsible for a team of highly qualified network engineers. This leader will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of our Network Infrastructure, including Safety, Scheduling, Standards and Implementation for new builds across the AMER region. This leader is expected to significantly enhance our speed, quality, and safety in deploying new capacity to our network in Data Center sites. You will ensure the right resources/structure is in place to proactively stay ahead of our capacity demands while applying thinking around capital efficiency. Our leaders are deeply technical, understanding their environment to accurately represent issues and implement a strategy that continues to set new records for cycle time, quality and staff efficiency.
In this role, you will own the resources responsible for planning, configuring and deploying network infrastructure in new AWS data centers. This leader will drive the strategy to innovate and optimize our new deployments while instilling the highest level of operational excellence in tools and processes. The mission of the team is to deliver network capacity on time with zero rework.
This leader will be integral to the wider infrastructure management senior leadership team, collaborating with our engineering and operations teams on new solutions and designs. They will own all aspects of people management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree, or experience in a relevant field
- 3+ years of program management experience in infrastructure builds
- Experience in technical management and people development
- Proven track record managing difficult, cross-functional infrastructure builds independently
- Experience working across multiple teams and managing programs end-to-end
- Ability to manage trade-offs: time vs. scope vs. cost
- Experience clearing blockers, escalating appropriately, and accelerating progress
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Robust technical understanding of network infrastructure and deployment processes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certifications or military experience in an IT-related field (e.g. computer science, network engineering, PMP, CCNA, Network+, Security+ etc.)
- Functional knowledge of network design, and layer 2/3 networking concepts
- Ability to propose regional or global projects leveraging technical and management experience
- Experience conducting interviews and making effective hiring decisions

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
