Job description

Role Overview
As a Site Deployment Manager, End-to-End, you will lead cross-functional deployment execution for OCI data center sites, expansions, and infrastructure readiness programs. This senior individual contributor role translates deployment requirements into actionable plans, tracks risks and dependencies, and drives site readiness from planning through turnover and operational handoff.
You will partner with Construction, Commissioning, Engineering, Network, Security, Data Center Operations, Logistics, Asset Management, Customer Experience, vendors, and deployment teams. The role requires strong project management discipline, field execution judgment, and the ability to align technical teams around clear milestones in a fast-moving mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead site deployment workstreams for new data centers, expansions, rack deployment, infrastructure readiness, and operational transition activities.

  • Own deployment plans, milestones, dependencies, risk logs, action registers, readiness trackers, and leadership status reporting.

  • Coordinate across Construction, Commissioning, Engineering, Network, Security, Operations, Logistics, and vendors to align deployment execution with site readiness.

  • Translate deployment requirements into field-ready schedules, handoff criteria, acceptance checks, and owner-based action plans.

  • Drive resolution of deployment blockers related to access, space readiness, power/cooling readiness, materials, tooling, documentation, safety, and operational procedures.

  • Support turnover readiness by validating deployment prerequisites, commissioning evidence, site support needs, inventory, and handoff documentation.

  • Partner with site leaders to ensure deployment activities are coordinated with maintenance windows, change management, access controls, and operational constraints.

  • Maintain executive-ready summaries highlighting schedule health, open decisions, risk exposure, escalation needs, and recommended paths forward.

  • Lead deployment reviews, readiness meetings, issue-resolution sessions, and lessons-learned activities.

  • Identify recurring deployment process gaps and improve playbooks, templates, dashboards, and governance routines.

  • Mentor project coordinators and cross-functional partners on deployment discipline, communication quality, and readiness standards.

  • Ensure deployment execution supports safety, reliability, customer commitments, and day-one operational supportability.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 8+ years of experience in technical project management, site deployment, data center operations, construction coordination, infrastructure delivery, or mission-critical program execution.

  • Experience leading cross-functional deployment or readiness programs in data centers, cloud infrastructure, colocation, telecom, utilities, or critical facilities.

  • Strong understanding of site readiness, construction-to-operations handoff, commissioning, deployment scheduling, access, logistics, and operational support requirements.

  • Experience building and managing project plans, issue logs, risk trackers, dashboards, and executive-level status reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence across Engineering, Construction, Operations, Network, Security, Logistics, vendors, and site leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, operations, information systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Skills and Competencies
  • Strong project management discipline across schedule, scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.

  • Operational judgment with the ability to balance deployment speed, safety, site constraints, and customer commitments.

  • Clear written and verbal communication, including concise escalation and executive reporting.

  • Ability to create structure in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.

  • Strong cross-functional influence without direct authority.

  • Continuous improvement mindset focused on repeatable deployment standards and predictable outcomes.

Preferred Skills / Certifications
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Primavera, MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow, CMMS, DCIM, or deployment tracking tools.

  • Familiarity with data center power, cooling, network, physical security, rack deployment, BMS/EPMS, and operational procedures.

  • PMP, PgMP, Six Sigma, OSHA, commissioning, or construction management certification.

  • Experience supporting hyperscale data centers, cloud infrastructure, colocation, telecom, or high-availability environments.

  • Experience creating deployment playbooks, readiness checklists, dashboards, and turnover standards.

Physical Demands / Work Environment
This role operates across office, remote collaboration, construction, deployment, and active data center environments. The position may require travel to sites. Site visits may involve walking large facilities, standing for extended periods, using stairs, and following all safety, PPE, security, and access-control requirements.
Why Oracle Cloud Infrastructure?
  • Global impact at cloud scale supporting mission-critical infrastructure for customers around the world.

  • Technically rigorous environment where reliability, safety, documentation, and operational readiness matter every day.

  • Culture built on ownership, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cross-functional partnership.

  • Long-term career development across cloud infrastructure, data center operations, construction delivery, and global portfolio leadership.
