Job description

Data Center Project Manager

As a Data Center Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in one of the most ambitious infrastructure initiatives in the country: building the largest data center in the United States. This is your opportunity to lead from the front, overseeing every phase of the construction roadmap and ensuring flawless execution across project deliverables and timelines. In this role, you'll manage day-to-day operations by applying established PMO standards, processes, and methodologies. You'll drive excellence, safety, and innovation on-site — setting new benchmarks for what's possible in modern data center deployment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Construction Management, Engineering or other related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry in management or leadership role. Experience overseeing and managing large structured cabling projects and/or data center construction projects highly preferred.
  • Experienced in managing all contracting and project delivery methods - lump sum / fixed price, cost plus, GMP, unit price / rate, design-build, time and material.
  • Preferred professional certifications:
    • OSHA-30 Hour certification (if not certified at time of hire, certifications must be obtained within first six (6) months of employment)
    • BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
    • BICSI Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM)
    • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
Requirements
  • Must be proficient and well-practiced in leveraging information and data in making informed decisions.
  • Extensive knowledge of Safety protocols, processes and procedures.
  • Deep understanding of industry specific estimating and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to identify change events and implement change management best practices.
  • Knowledge of various construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards.
  • Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and cost forecasting.
  • Able to report and read out project information to all stakeholders as needed or required.
  • Ability to develop and manage project schedules.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively present to small and large groups.
  • Disciplined, detail oriented, organized, and self-driven.
  • Demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems, conflicts, and issues.
  • Proficient in using a computer and business / industry applications - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura and others.
