Job description

Job Summary:
Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform, igniting the passions of sports fans and maximizing the reach for sports partners. As a Senior Creative Technologist, you will create immersive visual experiences through real-time visuals and animation systems, owning the visual experience layer of the platform.
Responsibilities:
• Own the implementation of real-time visual experiences using WebGL frameworks (e.g., Three.js)
• Build and refine custom GLSL shaders that define look and feel
• Create real-time VFX, particle systems, and animations
• Ensure assets, materials, rigs, and animations perform correctly at runtime
• Fine-tune timing, responsiveness, and interaction quality (e.g., card reveal moments)
• Partner closely with engineering to balance visual fidelity and performance
• Contribute to a scalable asset pipeline and visual system
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on new creative concepts and features
Qualifications:
Required:
• ~5–8 years of experience in creative technology, interactive development, or real-time graphics
• Strong experience with Three.js, WebGL, or similar frameworks
• Deep understanding of GLSL shaders, lighting, and materials
• Experience building real-time VFX and animation systems
• Strong grasp of 3D asset pipelines and runtime optimization
• Ability to balance creative vision with technical constraints
Preferred:
• Background in gaming, immersive media, or interactive experiences is a plus
