Senior Content Creator, Social Media

As a content creator for SCAD social media accounts, you will work with a team to produce engaging videos that successfully market the university to prospective students, their families, and other communities on an international scale. Utilize your skills in field and studio production to create content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, WeChat, Vimeo, LinkedIn, and more!

In support of the university's vision to be globally recognized as the preeminent source of knowledge in the disciplines we teach, you will:
Shoot creative lifestyle and environmental videos and photographs as assigned
Work with creative services to meet deadlines and collaborate on special projects involving film, motion graphics, and multimedia
Assess equipment needs and repairs; perform scheduled maintenance on all production equipment
Complete production reports and keep accurate, detailed notes of shoots to identify subjects with the correct spelling, footage shot, and dates on files for archival
Communicate with influencers and students about user-generated video content production; collaborate with a social media manager to create TikTok content

To excel as a content creator at SCAD, you must demonstrate:
Strong technical knowledge in video and photographic processing, editing, and distribution formats
Excellent working knowledge of the latest shooting styles, techniques, and equipment
An understanding of visual storytelling, elevated imagery, fashion, art, design, and other areas that SCAD teaches

Strong candidates should be able to:
Maintain contemporary creative and technical skills
Approach assignments with enthusiasm and creativity
Ideate, shoot, edit, and post quickly
Continually research, seek out inspiration, and provide recommendations on how to keep SCAD's video content at the level of quality expected from a leader in the art and design community

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience in content creation for social media and other online platforms
Ability to work outside office hours and on weekends and holidays
Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice

Travel required:
10-20%

Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
