Job Summary:
As a Compensation Professional, you will identify and leverage industry trends, legislative updates, and best practices to ensure Bechtel's compensation programs are current, effective, and meet business goals. You will also participate in the design and administration of the annual total compensation planning process. Your contributions will not only impact individual careers but will also drive organizational growth and success.
This position is designated as part-time telework under Bechtel's global policy and requires a minimum of three days per week in person at the assigned office or project. Weekly schedules will be determined in coordination with the supervisor and functional leadership.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Identifies and participates in compensation benchmarking, interacts with the partner consulting organizations and conducts market analysis.
  • Works with Functional leadership to develop job descriptionmatrices for new Functions or Disciplines.
  • Participates in annual total compensation planning which includes partnering with organizations on recommendations, developing merit matrices, bonus plan modeling, and testing the system. Provides day to day support to planning managers on tools and guidelines and partners with HRBPs in finalizing plans.
  • Participates in strategic compensation initiatives.
  • Identifies and leverages industry trends, legislative updates, and best practices to ensure compensation programs, policies, and processes are current, effective, and meet business goals.
  • Participates in annual pay equity reviews.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition team and HRBPs to review/recommend salaries for offers and salary reviews for promotions/adjustments.
  • Designs, develops, and updates global salary schedules.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Level I: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Level II: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • CCP or progress towards CCP preferred.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills to include advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with Survey Management tools such as Payfactors.
  • Experience with Copilot.
  • Strong communication skills.
