About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Collections Representative within Commercial Banking Operations. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage, review and negotiate a high risk portfolio consisting of complex delinquent loans of high level collateralized accounts which require special handling and analysis
  • Understand company policies and procedures and execute without issue
  • Assist in setting performance standards, and recommend process or policy improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Provide subject matter expertise and interpretation of procedures to less experienced individuals
  • Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Commercial Collections support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of collections experience
  • Accounting experience, accounts receivable or accounts payable
  • Leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to independently provide summary and recommendations on operational data
  • Strong telephone communication skills with the ability to influence positive customer outcomes
  • Experience working in roles within accounting, accounts receivable/payable
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to embrace and adapt to change
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to provide strong customer service while actively listening and responding in an appropriate manner
  • Sound analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Sound organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
