Job description

Position Summary:
The Case Analyst will focus on resolving healthcare liens as part of our team working on mass tort cases. The successful person in this role will be satisfied knowing that their work produces the right outcomes for our clients. Our ideal candidate is a legal assistant or paralegal who wants to grow their career in a casual and rewarding environment.
Position Location: Austin, TX
Job Responsibilities:
  • The Case Analyst is responsible for all aspects of resolving mass tort healthcare liens including:
  • Assisting with lien resolution and negotiation.
  • Drafting outbound correspondence and timely uploading outbound and inbound documents to our proprietary database.
  • Auditing medical claims itemizations and investigating discrepancies.
  • Following all QC checklists as required and noting each file with clear language explaining what steps were taken.
  • Maintaining digital client files.
  • Developing relationships with lien agencies by communicating professionally and effectively among multiple modes, including phone calls and email.
  • Timely following up on assigned files and exercising judgment regarding escalating problematic files to a senior case analyst or management.
  • Organizing and tracking case progress in our systems.
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Have good organizational skills and the ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Work well in face paced and changing environments, managing large data sets.
  • Have excellent customer service, interpersonal, listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Accept and actively solicit feedback.
  • Can manage, multi-task, and organize separate case information.
  • Apply critical thinking with your analytical skills.
  • Have the ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
  • Are professional and strong with both oral and written communication.
  • Typing skills of 45+ WPM with above average spelling, grammar, and diction skills.
  • Have proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook, Expert Excel User (V-Look Ups, Macros, Pivot Table)
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain high levels of confidentiality.

Technical Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ability to be a team player as well as work independently as needed
  • Legal/insurance background is not required, but is a plus

Interpersonal
  • Communication: Strong oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to establish deep understanding of Archers business. Ability to clearly communicate status to senior management team.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical analysts, and other developers to identify and define specifications; Indicate areas of system impact and continuously communicate project status and needs.
  • Creativity and Problem Solving: Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions.
  • Ability to introduce creative ideas to solving complex problems. Ability to identify and introduce scalable tools into the Archer technology stack where it makes sense to buy and integrate vs build.
  • Project and Time Management: Ability to work effectively and meet deadlines and handle multiple projects. Ensures risks and issues for delivery against goals are identified in a timely manner and properly communicated.
