We're searching for a Senior Human Resources Consultant to join our UPMC Physician Services Division!

In this role, the Sr. HR Consultant will serve as the main employee relations representative for a group of clinical and non-clinical departments. Daily job responsibilities may include leading employee investigations, coaching leaders, supporting retention and engagement initiatives, an HR reporting. Additionally, the Senior HR Consultant will participate in committees and resource groups, and they'll serve as a mentor for new team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead business objectives with employees and management, serving as a sr. business partner to management on HR-related issues and acts as a change agent. Accountable for managing and delivering HR programs and services within the organization
  • Partner with leaders to provide and implement HR initiatives that support management and employees across the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR team to design and plan interventions that facilitate organizational changes.
  • Drive change management practices to enable organizational effectiveness and foster a diversity & inclusion strategy that will maximize our competitive advantage and skills of the workforce.
  • Effectively communicate expectations with business, operational, and HR partners while promoting a One Team collaborative atmosphere in which all functions of HR work together as one team.
  • Collaborate with HR business and operational leaders to identify education gaps and development opportunities for management and employees. Partners with management to provide consultation on coaching and mentorship for staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field and at least three years of employee relations experience required.
    • OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of employee relations experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Strong employee relations experience is preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • PHR, SPHR certification, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification required within the first twelve months of hire for external candidates. Internal applicants within UPMC HR are required to have the certification requirements in place to be considered for promotional opportunities.
