Job Summary
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations for a portfolio of complex clients. This role oversees client accounting services, including bill pay, settlement support, accounts receivable support, monthly bookkeeping, and account reconciliations. The Senior Account Manager serves as a trusted resource for clients, ensuring accurate financial records, providing accounting guidance, and delivering exceptional client service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, experienced in QuickBooks Online, and comfortable managing multiple client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Client Accounting Management

  • Manage and coordinate bookkeeping and accounting services for a portfolio of complex clients.
  • Review and approve bill pay, settlement support, accounts receivable support, and other accounting-related services.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly bookkeeping activities.
  • Perform advanced client cost reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Maintain client working files and ensure records are complete and organized.

Client Relationship Management

  • Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting matters, financial reports, and bookkeeping questions.
  • Identify and escalate significant changes in client business activity.
  • Provide updates and feedback to Relationship Managers regarding client accounting matters.
  • Participate in annual client reviews and provide relevant financial insights and recommendations.

Accounting Operations

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of accounting principles and QuickBooks Online.
  • Execute ongoing client work within the Client Project Module.
  • Support annual 1099 reporting projects.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and other Senior Account Managers to improve processes, efficiency, and overall team performance.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and responsiveness while managing multiple priorities.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
