Job Summary:
Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to drive the reliability, performance, and scalability of cloud-based applications and services. The role involves troubleshooting cloud environments, maintaining high availability, and automating infrastructure processes using various scripting languages.
Responsibilities:
• As a Lead Azure SRE, will be responsible for driving the reliability, performance, and scalability of cloud-based applications and services.
• Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting cloud environments and diagnosing and resolving issues to maintain high availability and performance.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Infrastructure, including Networking, Compute, Storage, and KeyVaults [Other Azure Services]
• Expert level knowledge of Azure Networking and Network Security (Virtual WAN, vNets, ExpressRoute, VPN, Cisco FTDv firewall, Network Security Groups, DMZ)
• Strong level understanding of Networking and IP routing (CIDR, subnetting, VLSM, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS)
• Strong understanding of Azure Security (Entra ID, RBAC, Policies)
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical or escalated technical issues of affected equipment.
• Help deploy, test, and troubleshoot Azure services.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and be onsite as needed.
• Take part in the development of technical processes and documentation.
• Utilize Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting skills to develop automation tools and streamline repetitive tasks.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and maintenance to achieve operational efficiency.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting solutions to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Expertise in Kubernetes, scripting, troubleshooting, and observability
• Expertise in troubleshooting cloud environments and diagnosing and resolving issues
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Infrastructure, including Networking, Compute, Storage, and KeyVaults
• Expert level knowledge of Azure Networking and Network Security (Virtual WAN, vNets, ExpressRoute, VPN, Cisco FTDv firewall, Network Security Groups, DMZ)
