Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Infrastructure Engineer to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise database environments supporting mission-critical business applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Cloud, Windows Server, and infrastructure automation, along with a strong background in performance tuning, disaster recovery, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise SQL Server infrastructure in Azure and Windows Server environments.
  • Automate database administration tasks using PowerShell, SSIS, and other scripting tools.
  • Manage scheduled database jobs, ETL workflows, backups, deployments, and health monitoring.
  • Monitor database performance, optimize queries and indexing strategies, and resolve production issues.
  • Implement and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including failover testing.
  • Configure and administer Azure infrastructure, storage, networking, and security.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support application deployments and database integrations.
  • Support IIS-hosted applications and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
  • Maintain documentation, system health, and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure Cloud environments.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with PowerShell and SSIS automation.
  • Strong understanding of storage systems, networking, virtualization, and Azure infrastructure.
  • Experience with SQL Server performance tuning, indexing, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting critical production environments.
  • Experience supporting Power BI Services, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, IIS Administration, and .NET applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Required Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (Mandatory)
  • Microsoft SQL Server certification or equivalent database certification preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Enterprise database infrastructure management.
