Job Summary
Our Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, governance, and operational management of a large-scale Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Azure infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud security, networking, disaster recovery, and enterprise cloud operations.
This is a senior-level engineering role requiring extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Terraform, cloud migration strategies, enterprise security, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and help define cloud best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, configure, and manage enterprise Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Lead Azure cloud architecture, governance, and operational best practices.
  • Deploy and manage Azure resources, networking, identity, and security services.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and other automation technologies.
  • Plan and execute cloud migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Implement and maintain Azure networking, security policies, and governance standards.
  • Monitor cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Workbooks, Alerts, and Log Analytics.
  • Perform production support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for Azure infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Application Development teams.
  • Identify and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities using security tools and best practices.
  • Develop automation scripts and deployment processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and cloud architecture standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across cloud initiatives.
  • Communicate technical strategies, risks, and recommendations to leadership and executive management.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience implementing, managing, and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience planning and executing cloud migrations from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in mission-critical enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience implementing enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience implementing Azure networking and security policies.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience using Azure Monitor for monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and observability.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting security initiatives and vulnerability remediation.
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with Terraform (preferred) or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM Templates or Bicep.
  • Strong understanding of Azure governance, cloud security, identity management, and networking.
  • Experience working with enterprise IT architecture, infrastructure, security, and development teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
