The salary range for this opportunity is $120,000-$140,000/year. 
Summary
The Infrastructure Engineer III is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, securing, and optimizing the organization's hybrid infrastructure environment across both cloud and on-premises platforms. This role will primarily focus on Microsoft cloud technologies and modern workplace solutions while also supporting critical on-premises infrastructure within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on technical expertise across Microsoft cloud technologies, identity and endpoint management, infrastructure security, virtualization, networking, and operational support. This individual will play a key role in modernizing and supporting the company's infrastructure and security posture while ensuring reliable and secure technology operations across the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities 
  • Design, implement, administer, and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
  • Manage and support Microsoft cloud technologies including identity, endpoint management, collaboration, security, and messaging platforms.
  • Support Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, storage, networking, monitoring, and backup solutions.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services and enterprise collaboration technologies.
  • Manage enterprise identity and access management solutions including Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, conditional access, and group policies.
  • Support endpoint management, compliance, patching, and security initiatives across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Maintain and support virtualization, server, storage, networking, VPN, and remote access environments.
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, modernization efforts, and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and security across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, systems, networking, and security issues.
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors on infrastructure and security initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures. 
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior IT staff and Service Desk team members. 
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hours support when required. 
  • Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned.   
 
Education and/or Experience 
  • 7+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience. 
  • Strong experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises Microsoft environments. 
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud technologies, infrastructure administration, endpoint management, and security platforms. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure, networking, and systems technologies. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, operational, or multi-site environments preferred. 
  • Relevant Microsoft, Azure, or infrastructure certifications preferred.
