Azure Infrastructure Architect - Landing Zone & Disaster Recovery

Duration: 8 Weeks / 188 Hours
Location: Houston, TX - Hybrid/Onsite for the first 3 weeks
Travel: Approved T&E covered up to $2,200/week

Project Overview:

Seeking a senior Azure Infrastructure Architect to lead customer workshops and develop architecture and operational documentation for an Azure Landing Zone and Disaster Recovery solution.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead an Azure Landing Zone architecture/workshop.
  • Conduct a Hyper-V Replica and/or Azure Site Recovery (ASR) design workshop.
  • Assess Azure infrastructure, networking, security, governance, and subscription requirements.
  • Design and document Hyper-V Replica / Azure Site Recovery solutions.
  • Create detailed DR runbooks covering replication, failover, recovery, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate directly with customer technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide architecture recommendations and technical documentation.
Required Skills:
  • Strong Azure Infrastructure Architecture experience.
  • Hands-on Azure Landing Zone experience.
  • Strong Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and/or Hyper-V Replica experience.
  • Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity architecture.
  • Customer-facing workshop and presentation experience.
  • Technical documentation and runbook development.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to Houston, TX during the initial 3 weeks.
Preferred Skills:

Azure networking, governance, security, Windows Server, Hyper-V, hybrid cloud, Azure CAF/Well-Architected Framework.
