Job description

Cognizant is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Audio-Visual Engineer to support and maintain AV operations across our enterprise environment. The candidate will work out of the client's office in San Diego, CA. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of AV systems, as well as the creation and ownership of SOPs, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on engineering expertise, a process-driven mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver reliable, high-quality AV experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, operate, and maintain AV systems across Zoom Rooms, executive conference rooms, Innovation Centers, and Training Rooms.
• Troubleshoot complex AV issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive timely resolution.
• Create, maintain, and improve SOPs, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation to support consistent local and regional operations.
• Develop and enforce processes for software, firmware, and hardware updates to minimize operational and security vulnerabilities.
• Maintain AV asset inventory and support lifecycle planning and refresh strategies.
• Partner with IT, Workplace, Facilities, and business stakeholders to deliver a seamless end-user experience.
• Support small to mid-size AV projects and global rollouts, including room deployments and technology pilots.
• Provide technical feedback to AV leadership on standards, designs, and operational improvements.
• Develop and deliver training materials for AV team members, end users, and space facilitators.
• Collaborate with platform and automation teams to support proactive monitoring and system management.
Qualifications:
• Proven hands-on experience with enterprise AV systems and collaboration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Zoom Rooms, training environments, and executive or innovation spaces.
• Demonstrated ability to author clear, accurate technical documentation and SOPs.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CTS, Extron, Crestron, Biamp, Planar, Zoom).
The salary range for this role is between $99,000 and $116,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 7/02/2026.
