Senior Applications Engineer, Azure and AWS Cloud Solutions, Los Angeles, CA

We have an opening available for a Senior Applications Engineer, Azure and AWS Cloud Solutions. The Senior Applications Engineer, Cloud Solutions acts as the IT owner of various applications and productivity tools tied to the Microsoft 365 platform and other cloud vendors. These include MS Teams, Copilot and IntApp Workspaces. This is a highly skilled technical position responsible for strategy, day-to-day oversight and support of assigned systems. This is an opportunity to play a direct role in film's journey to the cloud and adoption of cutting-edge productivity tools. This position is 100% Onsite and not open for Remote.

Senior Applications Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Application owner and technical lead for various applications and solutions on the Microsoft 365 platform. This includes Teams, OneDrive and Copilot. Also includes cloud solutions by other vendors such as IntApp. Lead the delivery of new solutions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in this space. Lead strategic discussions and make recommendations in areas such as configurations, governance and integrations.
  • Understand relationships between Microsoft 365 and on-premises applications, SaaS applications, and tools such as Litera CAM.
  • Work with Endpoint, InfoSec, Development, and Infrastructure teams on integrations for Office, Outlook, Add-ins, Intune, SharePoint, AWS, Azure, Azure AD, Okta, and Mobile Iron.
  • Work on application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting and roadmaps.
  • Ensure the health and stability of all solutions owned.
  • Build, maintain and advance a strong relationship with Microsoft and other vendors. Understand the roadmap for specific offerings and demonstrate strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 space.
  • Monitor, track and report on performance and capacity. Responsible for capacity planning.
  • Maintain current and accurate architecture and support documentation for use by both engineering teams and support staff.
  • Adhere to and participate in IT's Change Management, SDLC and incident management processes.
  • Collaborates in the creation and use of training and Quality Assurance materials and activities for applications supported.
  • Provide coaching to junior analysts.
  • Work with Quality Assurance on test scripts, procedures, and remediation.

Senior Applications Engineer Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Hybrid Connection Manager, and related on-premises desktop and server components.
  • Knowledgeable in Azure and AWS environments, related technologies and components.
  • Knowledge of various legal and non-legal cloud solutions from vendors such as IntApp, Litera, Elite, and iManage.
  • Possess strong communication, organization, negotiation, critical thinking, and leadership skills as well as exceptional customer service and collaboration abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of multi-tier architecture including servers, databases, proxies, load balancing, trust/access rights, certificates, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of system integrations including APIs, web services, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), and database to database.
  • Ability to manage monitoring, backups, HA, BC, DR, patching, and admin tools.
  • Ability to work with desktop and mobile applications for their installation and configurations.
  • Ability to work with SQL Server, SQL development/queries, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work with project management on plans, tasks, and resource management and tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with data governance best practices and procedures.

Senior Applications Engineer Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Microsoft 365 experience and equivalent working with cloud solutions (required).
  • 7+ years of information technology experience (required).
  • 5+ years of experience working with and supporting enterprise platforms (required).
  • 3+ years of executive level engagement and customer service experience (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (preferred).
