Towne Insurance is hiring a Director of Learning and Development who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training and professional development programs that enhance employee skills, productivity, engagement, and career growth. This role partners with senior leadership, department heads, HR, and internal and external subject matter experts to align learning initiatives with organizational goals and business needs.

The good‑faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $150,000 to $195,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications. About Us

About the Role
  • Training Program Development: Design, implement, and evaluate training and professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills, productivity, and engagement.
  • Create and coordinate training sessions as needed and develop internal staff to support instruction in specialized subject areas.
  • In partnership with Marketing, create, maintain, and provide training tools, resources, procedures, and guidelines to support effective implementation.
  • Create and oversee technical training and procedures for M&A actions.
  • Design and implement career development plans tailored to both individual employee goals and organizational objectives.
  • Direct quality control and training team members in applying updated methods to facilitate skill development.
  • Partner with department heads and senior leadership to identify learning needs and support organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Learning and Development teams to maintain consistent training processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to employee welfare and uphold values aligned with Towne’s mission of fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment throughout all curriculums.
  • Ensure training and development activities comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Proven experience in training, learning and development, talent development, or organizational development, with leadership or team management experience.
  • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health Insurance.
  • Strong facilitation, instructional design, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple learning initiatives and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with HR software, learning management systems, training tools, and reporting platforms.
  • High level of collaboration, initiative, sound judgment, and adaptability.
