Senior AI Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Dallas/Fort Worth, TX
Compensation: Targeting ~$170-180K base depending on experience
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire preferred; may consider direct hire

SNI Technology has partnered with a client in the DFW area seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a newly created team focused on building next-generation AI agent solutions. This is a highly hands-on individual contributor role centered around the development, implementation, and optimization of practical AI-driven applications and autonomous agent frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Databricks, Generative AI technologies, and real-world AI agent development. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys building and deploying scalable AI solutions rather than focusing strictly on architecture, strategy, or leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents and agentic workflows for enterprise applications
  • Develop scalable GenAI solutions utilizing modern LLM frameworks and orchestration tools
  • Work extensively within Databricks to support AI/ML model development, data processing, and deployment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and AI-driven business solutions
  • Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems, APIs, and data platforms
  • Optimize AI models and workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Stay current with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices
  • Participate in proof-of-concepts, experimentation, and production implementation of AI solutions

Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
  • Strong experience with Generative AI technologies and LLM-based applications
  • Experience building and implementing AI agents or autonomous AI workflows in production environments
  • Proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML development frameworks
  • Experience integrating AI solutions with APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems
  • Strong understanding of machine learning pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering
  • Ability to operate independently in a highly technical individual contributor role

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar agent frameworks
  • Experience with Azure AI, OpenAI, or cloud-based AI services
  • Familiarity with RAG architectures and vector search technologies
  • Experience deploying scalable AI applications in enterprise environments
