Fortinet is a fast-growing and dynamic cybersecurity company with a growing and hard-working IT business application team. We are looking for a Junior AI Agent Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain intelligent AI agents that automate workflows, interact with users, and integrate with internal and external systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about artificial intelligence, automation, and software development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and deploying AI agents using modern frameworks and APIs
  • Collaborate with business users and senior developers to design agent workflows and decision logic
  • Integrate AI agents with databases, APIs, and third-party services
  • Write clean, maintainable, secure and well-documented code
  • Test, debug, and optimize AI agent performance
  • Monitor agent behavior and improve reliability and accuracy

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and web services
  • Prompt engineering and evaluation techniques
  • Understanding of basic AI/ML concepts (e.g., NLP, prompt engineering, or automation workflows)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio or similar AI agent development platforms
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $112,000-$160,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time, as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors, including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program. Bonus eligibility is reviewed at the time of hire and annually at the Company's discretion.
