JOB SUMMARYThe Journeyman's primary responsibility is to be an impactful missionary in a specific location and explore and grow in the ability to be a lifelong missionary or church planter.MINISTERIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Due to the ministerial nature and duties of this role a clear and compelling sense of God's call to ministry leadership must be expressed and in evidence. Ephesians 4:1, 11-13; Acts 13:2; Ephesians 3:8.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Work with assigned Send Relief and Send Network staff in the development of a comprehensive mission's strategy that ensures the facilitation of measurable outcomes in meeting compassion ministry and church planting objectives. Compassion ministry targets align with Send Relief focus areas of Poverty, Refugees & Internationals, Foster Care & Adoption, Human Trafficking and Crisis Response.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of ministry opportunities through local churches and surrounding communities, as well as coordinate the pairing of projects between volunteer mission team requests and church needs.
  • Work to start build ministry while cultivating leadership and resources to ensure self-sustainability within two years.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of ground logistics for volunteer mission teams.
  • Assist with the discovery and deployment of local and national churches to provide volunteers, resources and financial support for the ongoing compassion ministry and church planting needs.
  • Partner with Send Relief Gen Send teams or individuals (i.e. Spring, Summer, Semester, etc.) to fulfill mercy and compassion ministry and/or church planting projects.
  • Complete other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor, Send Relief Ministry Center Director, or Send City Coach.
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university.

  • Evidence of a mature and growing Christian walk characterized, by Paul, in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
  • Personal wisdom and sufficiency are grounded in Christ and the word of God, with a life submitted to God's authority in all things.
