Job description

Job Summary

Role within the organization: The Regional Ministry Consultant is responsible for supporting their assigned territory to meet goals for leader recruitment, engagement, retention, and program participation. This role works directly with church leaders to equip, encourage, and empower them to deliver impactful Upward Sports programming, fostering spiritual and relational growth in their communities through sports ministry.


Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Identify and recruit leaders using independent judgment to discern who has the potential to successfully lead Upward Sports programs and guide them into the Upward Sports Leader onboarding process.
    • Work with all onboarded leaders, exercising discretion to take the necessary steps to open Upward Sports programming and ensure strategic positioning for ministry success.
    • Develop and execute plans and tactics to cultivate trusted-advisor relationships with leaders, keeping them engaged with Upward while advancing the shared mission and vision for sports ministry. Travel up to 30% annually.
    • Collaborate with leaders to address programmatic challenges, develop new initiatives, and implement processes that enhance ministry impact
    • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure leaders and participants receive the highest level of support, while contributing to the development of best practices across the organization.
    • Oversee event logistics as assigned by the Partner Experience Director to equip leaders for ministry success.
    • Attend Upward’s weekly devotion time; prepare and deliver one devotion annually to contribute to the spiritual growth and unity of the Upward team.
    • Represent the mission, values, and standards of Upward Sports in all communications and interactions, both internally and externally.


Education and/or license required/preferred or other requirements


  1. BA/BS or equivalent experience.
  1. 2 years of sales and account management experience.
  1. 2 years of Upward Sports experience preferred.
