Job Description

As a Staff Test Engineer, you will be responsible to apply a broad level of expertise and knowledge in test discipline, leading and contributing to the development of the company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

This position will work on significant and unique issues, where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. You will be required to apply conceptual thinking to understand advanced issues and their implications. It will be necessary to exercise independent judgement in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results, for which you will be held responsible and may impact the larger business.

In the more senior role in this range, you will be expected to create formal networks involving coordination among groups, focusing on providing thought leadership while working on projects that affect the broader organization, and will require an understanding of the larger business. This role will require conveying advanced information and persuading a diverse set of stakeholders as needed. In this role you will be expected and acknowledged as a subject matter expert and may direct the activities of others as a technical lead. You will be fully accountable for the results of yourself and your team members. In the more junior role, you will work as a part of the technical team executing the objectives understood to expected milestones, with accountability on results.

In both cases, you will work with your team/leadership to set schedules and to meet commitments. You will endeavor to identify enablement or readiness gaps and close them. Senior people will provide technical support as needed to their peers, and more junior members will request support as required to stay on track. When conflict in priorities occur, you will work resolve them and/or set updated expectations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 5 to 12+ years of experience working with Automated Test Systems (ATE).
  • 5 to 12+ years of hands-on experience in ATE test development for analog, digital and mixed signal, with a strong focus on analog power management IC(PMIC) testing.
  • Experience in programming such as C++, basic, Perl, python, etc.
  • Experience in testing and collecting data on IC chips or circuits using standard tools such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
  • Proficient with ATE analog digital instruments, PCB layout parasitic reduction, and strong debug/troubleshooting experience
  • Hands-on experience in debugging analog products with serial bus interfaces
  • Experience with test hardware and test program development
