Staff Test Engineer - Product Development
Summary
As a Staff Test Engineer within the Test Enablement Group, you will work closely with Product Line (PL) Test managers and directors to ensure robust, high-quality production test solutions for key ATE roadmap platforms. This role is primarily responsible for the Advantest 93K and RF test platforms, requiring a solid understanding of RF testing. You will collaborate across ADI's core technologies such as converters, amplifiers, RF, power, and sensors to help define, establish, and document best-in-class test strategies and technologies that support manufacturability, consistency, and long-term test quality. This position is highly cross-functional, involving frequent interaction with new product development teams and global manufacturing operations to ensure smooth product transitions, optimized test performance, and scalable production test solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the process owner for the Advantest 93K and RF test platforms, ensuring high-quality and efficient production test implementations.
  • Act as a technical liaison between new product development and Manufacturing to ensure innovative, robust, and production-ready test solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between ATE vendors, PL Test, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless test readiness and manufacturability.
  • Influence long-term ATE roadmap direction to ensure future platform capabilities align with emerging product requirements.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations on test capacity planning, throughput improvements, handler/multisite optimization, and cost-of-test reduction initiatives.
  • Drive standardization of ATE development processes, documentation, and best-known methodologies across the test engineering community.
  • Identify and drive adoption of new test technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance organizational capability.

Required Qualifications
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience with ATE test methodologies for RF products.
  • Hands-on background with Advantest 93K and RF test platforms.
  • Strong understanding of ATE hardware, load-board architecture, interface systems, and test instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority and influence cross-functional technical decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work with test, product, and manufacturing teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, ATE development, or test architecture roles.
  • Knowledge of NI STS, SPEA, ETS800 and Teradyne UltraFlex platforms an advantage.
  • Experience in test program development and test hardware development, or in guiding and reviewing these development efforts.
  • Experience with PCB design for load boards, evaluation hardware, or interface boards.
