Compensation: $115,000 – $150,000
Bonus: Annual performance bonus target of approximately 12%–16% based on company and individual performance

Position Summary
The Process Engineer – Scribe & Break is a highly technical engineering role focused on process development, optimization, and support within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This position will play a critical role in developing and refining backend semiconductor processes tied to scribe and break operations supporting advanced semiconductor laser technologies.
This role is ideal for a hands-on process engineer who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. The engineer will work closely with operations, technicians, vendors, and engineering peers to improve process performance, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring semiconductor manufacturing experience and strong process engineering fundamentals. Direct scribe and break experience is highly desirable but not required, as training can be provided for candidates with strong semiconductor or semiconductor laser process backgrounds.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, optimize, and refine semiconductor manufacturing processes related to scribe and break operations
- Support process documentation, SPC setup, monitoring, and process control activities
- Investigate and resolve process deviations, yield issues, and product disposition challenges
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing technicians, operations teams, and engineering leadership
- Analyze process data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support process transfers, qualifications, and production ramp activities
- Troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Participate in process characterization, validation, and development activities
- Work cross-functionally with vendors, customers, and internal engineering teams as needed
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and reporting
- Utilize engineering and statistical tools including JMP, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software platforms
- Support ongoing manufacturing efficiency and yield improvement initiatives
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field
- 3–5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing process engineering experience
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and process development methodologies
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing or production environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with process documentation, SPC, and statistical analysis
- Proficiency with JMP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related engineering tools
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct scribe and break process experience
- Semiconductor laser manufacturing experience
- Backend semiconductor process engineering experience
- Singulation or wafer processing experience
- Experience supporting yield improvement and process optimization initiatives
- Familiarity with high-volume semiconductor manufacturing operations
