Job description

The Opportunity:

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (“SEL”) seeks professional, innovative and detailed individuals for our Test Engineer position located at our West Lafayette, Indiana field office.

Test Engineer (Multiple Openings)

Responsibilities:

The Test Engineer will engage in test development processes. The incumbent will apply the principles of electrical, electronic, and mechatronics engineering to: (1) establish project development plans, monitor the status and progress of test and other project deliverables, and provide timely metrics on project status; (2) review and approve test plans, station designs, and validation documentation; (3) design, develop, and maintain test strategies for new and existing SEL products; (4) evaluate new test technologies and methods; (5) determine Design for Test (DFT) specifications and coordinate with the company’s engineering staff on new product design; (6) gather and analyze test data to improve test coverage, process efficiencies, and perform software verification; (7) ensure clear and efficient communications between test development team and customers; (8) understand hardware and software interactions and collaborate with Hardware Engineers; and (9) continuously identify, measure, and improve company engineering processes.
