Job description

Purpose of position: To manage United States Government contracts for aviation parts repair contracts, ensuring all contractual requirements are met accurately, compliantly, and on schedule. This role is responsible for government contract administration, documentation, compliance, and coordination with internal teams and government representatives. The position oversees the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring strict compliance with federal regulations, tracking data deliverables, managing government-owned property.


Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without reasonable accommodation).


  • Responsible for Contract Management including administering federal aviation contracts from contract award through closeout.
  • Manage and track Contract Line-Item Numbers (CLINs) to ensure accurate funding, pricing, invoicing, and contract performance. Monitor funding levels, expenditures, and contract modifications to maintain compliance with contractual requirements and prevent funding shortfalls or billing discrepancies.
  • Manage and monitor Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to ensure all required contract deliverables are prepared, reviewed, and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to track due dates, maintain compliance with contract requirements, and meet strict government and military reporting schedules.
  • Ensure full compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements, and other applicable federal regulations. Monitor contract activities, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, government standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal repair, operations, and support teams and Government Contracting Officers (CO/PCO). Facilitate effective communication, coordinate contract-related activities, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on contract requirements, deliverables, and performance expectations.
  • Reviews and interprets contract requirements to ensure internal teams understand and fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation related to contracts, deliverables, correspondence and government requirements.
  • Manages Government Furnished Property records and coordinates required tracking, reporting, reconciliation and disposition activities.
  • Coordinates with Sales, Operations, Quality, Finance, Logistics and other departments to ensure contractual requirements are understood and fulfilled.
  • Prepares, reviews and maintains contract-related reports, correspondence and other documentation as required.
  • Supports contract modifications, amendments, extensions, funding actions and other contractual activities as needed.
  • Keeps management and appropriate team members informed of contract status, upcoming requirements, deadlines and potential issues.
  • Works as a team with all Sales and Operations members to drive and promote Segers Aero Corporation as a world-class MRO shop.
  • Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy
  • Works overtime as needed
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among co-workers, supervisors, customers and government representatives.
  • Must have a working knowledge of United States Government contracting requirements and federal regulations applicable to defense contracts.
  • Must have a strong understanding of contract administration, including contract requirements, modifications, funding, deliverables and closeout.
  • Must have knowledge of contract line items, required contract data deliverables and Government Furnished Property requirements.
  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret government contracts and related documentation.
  • Must be able to identify contract requirements, deadlines and potential issues and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal personnel and government representatives.
  • Ability to travel extensively, up to 50% to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Must be a self-starter, show initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, manage multiple contracts and priorities and meet established deadlines.
  • Must be highly organized and demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to maintain accurate records and documentation using company systems and computer software.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations involving pricing, quantities, funding and contract values.
  • Must be able to use applied knowledge and sound judgement to formulate positive solutions to contract and operational issues.
  • Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate judgement when handling government and company information.
  • Must be able to write proposals, in English, with minimal errors.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills including the use of company software and Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and manage priorities.
  • Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to see within normal range with or without corrective lenses.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while using hands, fingers and wrists repetitively on a computer keyboard.
  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day.
  • Ability to provide verification of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Contract Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience with United States Government contracting in the private defense sector or a federal government agency is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and directly related government contracting experience may be considered.
  • Experience in aviation, aerospace, aircraft component repair, or maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations required.
  • Strong understanding of Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) structures, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and Government Property Management requirements, including FAR 52.245-1 is required.
  • Experience administering federal government contracts, managing government furnished property, and compliance with applicable federal regulations is strongly preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
