Responsibilities

You will help prevent and deter crime by:

  • Performing regular and random patrols

  • Reporting incidents, hazards, or unusual activity

  • Conducting access control procedures

  • Operating emergency equipment when necessary

  • Documenting nightly activity and submitting reports

  • Investigating property breaches

Requirements

  • Current/Active Hawaii Security Guard Card

  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional presentation and demeanor

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Reliable transportation and active cellphone

  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine foot patrols

Prior law enforcement, military, or 1+ year of security experience is preferred but not required. Training and uniforms will be provided to the right candidate.

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly and quickly during emergencies

  • Ability to read and interpret written information

  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle if required

  • Ability to detect emergency sounds such as alarms or distress signals

  • Ability to walk, run, stand, climb, and sit as needed

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if required

  • Must meet all Hawaii state licensing requirements (Armed or Unarmed, as applicable)
