Job description

Telaforce, a Titan Technologies company, is HIRING! We are currently looking for a Part-Time/on-call Security Operations Center Analysts to support our Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS) program. The Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS) manages the municipal water resources for Oahu, Hawaii’s most populous island, sustaining a population approaching 1.5 million people. 

In this role, you will conduct remote monitoring of secured remote facilities from a centralized Security Operations Center. Tasks include access logging, event logging, and reporting of situations with appropriate timely escalation within the reporting structure. The successful candidate will be responsible for fully participating in any drills and QA checks that occur while on duty, knowing fire evacuation routes for the assigned location, and being proficient with security camera and computer systems used to meet contract requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor remote security cameras from the Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Perform and record any assigned security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Provide access information to any secured gate or door based upon authorized access credentials.
  • Track and record access of all secured/monitored facilities. Utilize remote cameras for access control verification.
  • Document security breaches with impact assessment and escalate to Analyst III or Security Operation Center Manager for further action.
  • Routine reporting.
  • Support new security installation augments remotely as requested.
  • Basic technology troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of experience operating PD hardware and software systems.
  • Excellent or very good ratings in last two (2) years of performance evaluations.
  • Experience monitoring Security Camera systems preferred.
  • Excellent communications skills in providing specific and detailed information.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of the island, and ability to read, understand and follow maps, charts, and tax maps.
  • Ability to find information from various resources.
  • Must be available and dependable to perform during various mutually agreed work shifts.
  • Strong customer service skills and proved ability to handle difficult and stressful circumstances.
  • Ability to write accurate and detailed reports in English.
  • Computer literacy and produce various memos, spreadsheets, and reports using Microsoft Word and Excel, among other data logging applications.
  • Must be available and dependable to perform during various mutually agreed work shifts.
  • Drug testing prior to starting work and semi-annually thereafter.
  • No history of any felony convictions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience is SOC Operations environment and/or other security related field or industry.
  • Positive demeanor and ability to perform well under pressure with conflict resolution.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
