Position Overview

We areย seekingย a dynamic and experiencedย Security Sales Leaderย to drive the growth and execution of our Security business in theย West US region. This role requires a high-performing, customer-centric executive with a provenย track recordย of building and scaling high-performing teams and working within the reseller / integrator ecosystem (including OEMs that sell via the channel model).ย 

You willย be responsible forย theย AHEAD Security business for the West US region, which includes managing and developing a team of Security Sales Specialists across the West to execute the AHEAD Security go-to-market and grow the Security business. You will build strong relationships with key customers,ย OEMย partners, regional core sales leadership, and internal stakeholders.ย 

This is a senior leadership role with direct ownership of regional security performance, including growth of bookings with a heavy focus on services growth.ย ย ย 

Sales Leadership & Strategy
  • Own and executeย the cybersecurity sales strategy for the West region, driving revenue and margin growth across all verticals and accounts.ย 
    ย 

  • Partner closely withย regional core sales leadership (EVPs and MDs)ย to stay alignedย onย regional goals, account coverage, and execution.ย 
    ย 

  • Measure and manage security performance in bothย install baseย andย net-new accounts, ensuring pipeline health and forecast accuracy.ย 

Team Management & Development
  • Lead, develop, and growย a high-performing team of Security Sales Specialists focused on AHEAD's security portfolio.ย 
    ย 

  • Ramp new reps to full productivity through 1:1s, deal coaching, QBRs, account strategy reviews, and skills development.ย 
    ย 

  • Set clear expectations and operating rhythms around territory planning, pipeline generation, forecast discipline, and account execution.ย 

Services & Solution Development
  • Collaborate withย core sales, engineering, partner alliances, and services teamsย to enhance security go-to-market strategies, including:ย 

  • Priorityย salesย playsย (e.g., AI security, SASE, CTEM, SOC modernization)ย

  • Pre-sales focus areas and solution architecturesย 
    ย 

  • Professional services, managed security services (MSSP), and advisory offeringsย 
    ย 

  • Align security services and solutions to client outcomes, ensuring repeatable plays that scale across the region.ย 

Vendor & Partner Alignment
  • Work in partnership with theย Director of Strategic Security Partnersย (and security alliances team) to cultivate and manage relationships with top cybersecurityย OEMย sales leadership).ย

  • Support and co-ownย regional events, joint account planning, and executive briefingsย to drive jointย pipelineย and influence.ย 

Customer Engagement
  • Engage directly withย strategic West-region clientsย to build peer-to-peer security leadership relationships and position AHEAD as aย trusted advisor.ย

  • Partner with your Security Sales Specialists to shape account strategies, guide opportunity pursuit, and ensure solutions are tightly mapped to business outcomes.ย 
    ย 

  • Support regional client events, executive dinners, and EBCs focused on integrated and AI-driven security outcomes.ย 

Ownership of the West Security Business
  • Own the securityย businessย for the West regionย in partnership with the VP of Security Sales.ย 
    ย 

  • Review rep forecasts andย commitsย for accuracy,ย leveragingย CRM and BI tools (e.g.,ย Salesforce, Power BI) to drive a disciplined forecasting culture.ย 
    ย 

  • Roll upย accurateย team commits acrossย Product, Professional Services, and Managed Servicesย and communicate risks and upside clearly.ย 
    ย 

  • Track and analyze key performance KPIs, including:ย 

  • Vendor-specific growth trendsย

  • Services attach rates and services mixย 
    ย 

  • Margin performance (Y/Y and Q/Q)ย

Qualifications
  • 10+ yearsย of experience in IT sales, withย at least 3-5 years focused on cybersecurity solutions.ย 
    ย 

  • Deep understanding of the Channel business, including experience at or with value-added resellers (VARs) and systems integrators (SIs).ย 
    ย 

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience, including management of quota-carryingย sellers;ย demonstratedย success inย building and scaling teamsย and leading geographically distributed organizations.ย ย ย 
    ย 

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity solutions such asย Security Operationsย (EDR/XDR, SIEM),ย Network Securityย (SASE, SSE),ย Cloudย Security,ย Identityย Security, andย Dataย Security, and familiarity with leading vendors (Palo Altoย Networks, Fortinet, Cisco, Wiz, CrowdStrike, Zscaler,ย and others).ย 
    ย 

  • Proven ability toย build trusted relationships with C-level executives, CISOs, and security leaders, acting as a strategic advisor.ย

  • Experience leading in aย matrixed environment, collaborating across sales, services, marketing, and alliances.ย
