We are seeking a Security Project Manager in Northern Virginia to take full ownership of multiple, simultaneous installation projects from kickoff to completion. Leading a dedicated team of integration engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, you will oversee the day-to-day deployment of access control (ACS), intrusion detection (IDS), CCTV, intercom, and other low-voltage electronic security systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with local engineering, sales, and technical staff to manage schedules, materials, and risk mitigation steps. As the primary point of contact, you will drive robust communication across internal teams and external customers to ensure all stakeholder expectations are met seamlessly.
Responsibilities
  • Multi-Project Management: Coordinate, oversee, and manage the day-to-day operations of multiple simultaneous projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Take full ownership of assigned projects, ensuring robust, clear communication to align and meet the expectations of both internal teams and external customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local engineering, sales, and technical staff to drive project milestones.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, direct, and manage a diverse project team, including Senior/Lead Technicians, Junior Technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular updates on job status, schedule adjustments, material requirements, and scope changes, while maintaining accurate project red-line drawings.
  • Inventory & Quality Control: Oversee and maintain project equipment inventory and ensure all deliverables meet strict quality standards.
  • Business Development Support: Assist with the creation and development of project proposals as needed.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and implement effective mitigation steps.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of electronic security project management experience (access control, intrusion detection, CCTV).
  • Proven team leadership managing integration engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to meet stakeholder standards.
  • Technical proficiency in security systems, with a strong preference for certifications/training in Lenel, Axis, Software House, Verint, Commend, Fire systems, or DMP.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings (security, electrical, and civil packages).
  • Proficiency in core software, including MS Windows/Office and scheduling tools (MS Project, SimPro, or Smartsheet).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • PMP certification is a plus, but not required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
