Job description

The candidate shall be responsible for the development of and/or modification of complex accounting models in addition to working with Team members on accounting models specific to the Team membersโ€™ general ledger responsibilities. Contractorโ€™s responsibilities will include the development and/or modification of financial transaction requests to the Governmentโ€™s Financial Management System Technical Team, and the development and/or modification of financial instructions, policy and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as required, in support of the Governmentโ€™s financial processes. Responsibilities: * Oversee financial projects and assists the government with financial management operations. * Monitors and coordinates program resource allocations. * Supports Government representatives at meetings * Leading research and stakeholder interviews to document and understand requirements (data inputs and outputs), business processes, and existing data challenges with an eye toward developing and implementing process improvements. * Performing in-depth analysis to understand the links between business processes, data inputs, information requirements (outputs), and potential solutions. * Coordinating and participating in system engineering and technical exchange meetings to support quick resolution of architectural, design, system interoperability and policy issues. * Coordinating and participating in milestone events to include requirement reviews, design reviews, and program management reviews. Experience: * Minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ of experience improving data integrity, internal controls, and financial reporting for PP&E. * Experience related to General Ledger (GL) and corresponding financial transaction analysis to ensure financial data is current and accurate to support the development of auditable financial statements. * Experience in financial statement compilation, financial statement audit, and auditability efforts. * Strong Excel skills, with focus on pivot tables, formulas, macros, etc. * CPA license Education: Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s Degree in Accounting or related field.
