We are currently hiring for a Facilities Manager for the Independent living facility at Cherry Ridge located on the Webster Campus. The primary purpose of the position is the overall supervision of the facility environment, including the provision of maintenance, housekeeping and laundry within the Cherry Ridge Campus including all independent, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and ancillary buildings.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for directing the maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry functions within the facility, including the selection, training and supervision of staff to perform such functions.
  • Monitors the environment both inside and outside of the facilities, and completes or arranges for appropriate repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Assures compliance of all governmental regulations to include DOH regulations for all levels of service in relation to the facilities, fire and life safety codes and state/local building codes.
  • Collaborate with the grounds team to clean exterior areas such as sidewalks, entrances, and public spaces on a daily basis, utilizing the proper equipment, supplies and refuse receptacles.
  • Maintains the roof, hallways and fire escape routes and ensures they are kept free of all obstructions and debris.
  • Arranges for all required inspections, including elevator, fire alarm, sprinkler, boiler and other pertinent systems as required by all regulations.
  • Creates and implements a preventative maintenance program for all equipment, assigns inspections and keeps log
  • Collaborate with the Security Manager for operation of all fire system and suppression systems, energy management and emergency response systems
  • is the chairperson of the community safety committee, holding monthly meetings, and having an active safety program for Cherry Ridge
  • On-call for Cherry Ridge on facility issues 24/7
  • Purchases and keeps appropriate inventory levels of equipment and supplies for all facility departments
  • Assures timely response to trouble shooting and repairs on facility, equipment
  • Checks maintenance request log on a weekly basis and responds to open items in a timely manner
  • Ensures all supporting paperwork for each task is complete and accurate
  • Maintains the interior and exterior of the facility according to NFPA code and local fire/safety regulations.
  • Arranges for the cleaning out and maintaining all vacant rooms and/or rooms slated for admission.
  • Assists in removing snow, ice, etc. as needed from the entrances to all buildings as well as areas surrounding the facilities where residents and/or other members of the public may travel.
  • Arranges for and supervises all housekeeping and maintenance services within the community.

  • Evaluates staff performance and the quality of maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping services that are provided within the community.
  • Assists in creating the operation and capital expense budgets for maintenance, laundry and housekeeping

  • Develops and implements measures to improve productivity and staff efficiency.
  • Maintains staff quality performance.
  • Operates within established budget.

Candidate Requirements:
  • High School or General Education Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience - Required
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
