Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Technician to join our expanding team. This role is uniquely split to address our market demands: 75% Commercial Alarm Installation & Service and 25% Residential Security Solutions. As an Alarm.com authorized provider, you will configure, install, program, and troubleshoot advanced integrated systems. The ideal candidate must be a subject matter expert in advanced commercial panels, dynamic cloud-based access control, fire safety frameworks, and specialized mesh radio networks. An active and up-to-date California Alarm Company Employee (ACE) Card is strictly required for this position. Core Responsibilities Commercial Infrastructure (75%): Lead the physical installation, programming, wire termination, and servicing of mid-to-enterprise level commercial fire, access control, and intrusion prevention environments. Residential Deployment (25%): Deliver premium, clean residential smart-home installations utilizing the core Alarm.com hardware ecosystem and smart-home applications. Systems Integration: Physically link and program fire panels, digital relays, electric lock mechanisms, and local IP camera streams into a singular cloud operations matrix. Network Optimization: Program and deploy specialized IP networks, cellular communicators, and long-range mesh radio networks to guarantee uninterrupted signal monitoring. Diagnostics & Servicing: Inspect, identify, and troubleshoot field hardware faults, ground loops, circuit shorts, and wireless interference issues efficiently. Compliance & Inspection: Verify that all commercial installations fully adhere to relevant building codes, standard ADA mounting heights, and national life-safety specifications.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of low-voltage electronics, loop zones, relay functions, and general network topography (IP configurations, routers, and switches). Driving Record: Must hold a clean, valid driver’s license to operate a company-provided service vehicle. Physical Demands: Comfort working in tight crawl spaces, navigating commercial attics, and safely climbing ladders up to 24 feet.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
